IMU’s Postgraduate Diploma in Prosthodontics (PGDPros) Programme provides training in Prosthodontics specially developed for general dental practitioners. The curriculum is designed based on the treatment planning and procedures classified according to partial or complete edentulism. The knowledge and skills will be concealed with multidisciplinary approach of managing prosthodontic cases and complications based upon the nature and complexity of the edentulous span.
This 1-year programme includes total 6 modules sequenced on the treatment modalities based upon the nature and complexity of edentulous span. The programme is taught by eminent and experienced full-time and adjunct faculty including clinicians cum academicians. Students can enjoy a full access to IMU’s Oral Health Centre and library facilities. There will be one to one supervision for the clinical procedures to be executed for patients at IMU’s Oral Health Centre or in the student’s own clinic.
Students will also be allowed to perform straightforward implant prosthodontic treatment and will be having a free hand to utilise IMU’s state of the art digital facilities including CBCT and CAD-CAM. Each student is required to complete 10 different varieties of prosthodontic cases. The PG Prostho programme collaborates with world renowned companies sponsoring the equipments and materials.
