Introduces health promotion concepts in terms of strategies, models and communication that aim to transform behaviour at an individual as well as community level. Activities in health education focus on specific groups, taking into account individual characteristics and behaviours involved in the adoption of a healthy lifestyle. Students are not only empowered to disseminate information, but also to be proficient in behavioural modification of individuals, families, and communities.
