The Department of Economics
offers Ph.D (Economics) to provide graduate studies in Economics which combines both conventional and Islamic aspects. Graduates from our programme will receive world class instruction, both in terms of coursework and research training. The programme is designed for students who have career goals either as academics, consultants and specialists in the areas of Trade and Development, Islamic Economics, Industrial Economics and Monetary and Financial Economics.
Apart from the required courses, candidates may need to register for pre-requisite courses depending on their qualifications. The pre-requisite courses for the Ph.D programme are:
