Radiography or more commonly known as Medical imaging, is concerned with diagnostic and interventional procedures, health surveillance screening and research. Diagnostic radiographers are responsible for providing safe, rapid and accurate diagnostic imaging examinations in a wide range of clinical situations, using a range of imaging modalities and techniques. This will contribute to the subsequent management of the patients. They are also responsible for the physical and psychological well-being of patients whilst in their care. Radiography encompasses several sub-specialties, notably computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound including Doppler imaging, nuclear medicine and interventional practice.
